Here are some guidelines and rules for the format of play in the NCSDL.Each night of play consists of 9 sets. Each set is worth one team point marked as a W or L on the score sheet. Each set is best of three legs. A coin toss at the beginning of each set determines who begins the first leg. Winner of the coin toss starts the first leg and the loser of the coin toss begins the second leg. If a third leg is required ( each team wins one of the first two legs ), then didle for the middle determines the starter of the third and final leg. The winner of the coin toss has choice for bulling first. Sets 1, 2, and 3 are 501 straight in double out. Sets 4, 5, and 6 are 301 double in double out. Sets 7, 8, and 9 are standard tournament American Cricket. Sets 1, 4, and 7 are teams ( doubles ). Sets 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, and 9 are singles. Overall, each player will play 3 sets of doubles or teams and 3 sets of singles. Before the beginning of the match, each team must fill out their line up for the night. This will determine which opponent is played in the singles sets. The order of the line up is irrelevant for the doubles sets. Teams can alter the starter of the doubles legs, as long as the order is not disturbed during the leg. However, the order on the sheet will be used to determine which opponent to play during the singles sets. Players must play the same opponent in all three singles sets. That is, the order on the sheet for the singles sets must be consistent. Player 1 for the 501 singles must also be Player 1 for the 301 singles and the cricket singles. In the case that a player cannot make a night of play, he/she may use a spare to replace him/her. In the case that a spare cannot be found in time or that neither players of a team can make it, a make up match must be performed within one week and the score sheet submitted on the following week of play. The opponents must be contacted in advance. Contact information is provided on the Contact page of the site. If make ups are not performed within one week then the offending team will be awarded 0 points. At the end of the match, one player from each team must sign the score sheet and ensure that the sheet is filled out completely and correctly. Any high finishes or least dart games must be recorded and initialed by one player of each team. Please ensure that the date is filled out, names are clearly recorded, wins and loses are clearly recorded and the total scores for the night are recorded, in addition to singing the sheet and recording any high finishes or least dart games. Failing to complete the sheet properly or clearly may result in errors in the stats! Also, please do not forget to put your board away in the NCSDL cabinet. |
